Description
Our client located in Butler, PA is seeking a permanent full-time Business Intelligence Manager. The successful candidate will report to the Director of IT applications and will lead and manage the Business Intelligence team and all business intelligence, reporting, data warehouse development and support activities throughout the company. Responsibilities: - Manage the BI/DW team on a day to day basis. - Contribute to the development of new concepts, techniques and standards as they pertain to business intelligence - Conduct performance reviews and coach team to achieve company and department goals and objectives. - Will be considered an expert in the field of business intelligence within the organization setting the procedural and architectural direction for all BI/DW activities across the enterprise - Ensure all BI/DW activities are performed in a timely manner - Establish and enforce the near and long-term vision for the BI/DW architecture and procedures through development and maintenance of quality control procedures and best practices to ensure data stored in the data warehouse environment is accurate and secure. - Responsible for the support and corresponding operational and quality service levels of BI/DW environment including user and security administration, performance tuning, application installation, and upgrades. - Enforce the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) - Responsible for guiding and overseeing all aspects of BI/DW technologies and architecture such as delivery mechanisms (i.e. portals, dashboards), data model/architecture, data integration/ETL and reporting tools. - Act as code reviewer for other developers’ output to enforce accepted development standards and techniques - Code solution to fill resource gaps or demonstrate proper technique to staff when required Requirements: - Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or related field - 8 + years of IT experience - 4 + years of BI/DW management experience - Strong technical skills with SQL Server database and development technologies - Knowledge of Microsoft Windows and Microsoft SQL Server - Extensive experience with dimensional data modeling and star schema design - Experience with Cognos Business Intelligence platform and ETL strategy and implementation - Knowledge of Cognos Business Intelligence platform, Data Manger, Framework Manager, Transformer, Query Studio and Report Studio - BI Certification from Cognos or equivalent preferred Why Pittsburgh? http://www.consultusa.com/whypittsburgh.html How to Apply: - For consideration, email MS Word resumes to Amanda@consultusa.com - Please include position number 5695 in the subject line when applying ConsultUSA is an Equal Opportunity Employer
