Description

Our Client is seeking a User Experience Designer in the Jersey City, NJ area. The successful candidate will partner with business analysts and product managers to translate business and user requirements into successful, innovative UX design solutions.


Additional responsibilities include:

  • Analyze user requirements and business needs through use cases and user flows
  • Create design concepts, storyboards, information architecture, wireframes, detailed user interface designs, interactive prototypes and user interface specifications for our financial applications
  • Lead the visual design activities for medium size and large projects
  • Produce brand standards and visual assets that are re-usable across our platforms
  • Collaborate with the visual designers of the user experience team to help produce visually appealing designs
  • Work closely with development and testing teams in the implementation and testing of user interfaces
  • Create and maintains user experience guidelines and design standards
  • Help in the planning and execution of user research studies such as contextual inquiries, user surveys and usability tests

To succeed in this role you will need the following:

  • 5+ years of experience
  • Knowledge of user centered design methodologies and activities
  • Passion for UI design and attention to design detail
  • Strong interaction design
  • Experience working with business counterparts
  • Familiar with user-centered design processes
  • Strong understanding of Axure, Balsamiq, Sketch, or related prototyping tools
  • Ability to demonstrate product concepts through design and translate such concepts into detailed user interfaces and prototypes
  • Expert knowledge of Adobe Creative Cloud applications
  • Understanding of web and mobile technologies
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Financial services and wealth management knowledge preffered
  • Understanding of HTML and CSS a plus
